Further Quality Investments at PWT

Having come a long way in 2015; PWT are pushing into 2016 with yet more investment to improve our quality and service. A new inkjet legend printer is on the way to provide lines and spaces down to 3 mil and characters as small as 0.5mm in height; straight lines at any angle, and registration accuracy of ±35µm.

There’s a new Lamtronics developer too; as well as upgrades to the plating lines. All this in order to improve our performance on tight track and gap, tricky plating requirements, and small holes. We will also be introducing revised shift patterns and greater front end engineering capacity; to help maintain our world class quality, service and responsiveness.

Zero Non-conformities in AS9100C Audit

We were also very pleased to pass our first AS9100C surveillance audit. After two days of intense auditing zero non-conformities were raised. All key processes, Sales, Purchasing, Engineering and Manufacturing, were fully audited to ensure compliance to the rigorous AS9100C Standard.

This audit marks the start of the second year that PWT has held the AS9100C Registration after successfully receiving the prestigious accreditation in 2014; enabling both new and established customers to approach our advancing technology levels with complete confidence.

Microvia at PWT

As many of our current and prospective customers will know; this year PWT have been working to bring a microvia service to our already extensive offering, in support of our customers increasing HDI requirements. We are pleased to announce that we are now offering microvias commercially and look forward to servicing our customers even better in the future with this new technology.

What are PWT’s capabilities?

Due to continued investments in skills, resources and equipment; we have been able to push on with challenging projects to further enhance our offering. As a result you may not be up to date with our current capability. PWT offer track and down to 3 thou (0.076) in support of our new microvia offering; as well as impressive capabilities with respect to drilling and registration of high layer count multilayers.

In addition to FR4; PWT are experienced in Polyimide, Rogers and Rogers/Hybrid materials. We also handle a lot of blind/buried via; both blind drilled and sequentially built, and controlled impedance manufacture.

We are rightly valued by our customers for our responsiveness; so if you aren’t sure about a particular technology, talk to us on 01707 338871.

Management Restructuring of PWT

I would like to announce that I have resigned from my position as Managing Director. I shall however continue to involve myself with the financial affairs of the business on a part time basis.

Edward Hare is now Managing Director providing continuity of leadership and strategy. Edward has been with the business for 12 years, has been a major influence in the ongoing progression of the company and I naturally wish him every success.

Jonathan Calver joined PWT on 24th August 2015 at Director Level and has over 25 years’ experience within the industry and brings the knowledge and skills which will continue to drive the Company forward both technically and from a business point of view.

These appointments together with the mix of skills and experience within the existing management team and staff, I am certain the Company will maintain a very strong platform for future growth.

PWT will continue to thrive in a constantly competitive, changing and demanding market.
