Environmental Policy
As a progressive company, PWT has assembled a team of people to address the dynamic nature of the industry.
Compliance with legislation and the undertaking to continually strive for
improvement are an integral part of our strategy for the future.
We try to remain at the forefront of significant developments in processes and techniques and attend to our customer's needs, requirements and preferences.
PWT invests extensive time and resource in the training of staff. In July 2004 we achieved recognition as Investors in People.
PWT actively support and maintain environmental and personal safety policies, having consultants advising on COSHH and Risk Assessment.
Policy Statement
The implementation of this policy is in conjunction with PWT Health & Safety policy, and Quality policy. This policy will be available via our website in due course and will be made available
to anybody with a legitimate interest upon request.
Within this policy, PWT undertakes to:
- Meet or exceed existing environmental legislation and keep abreast of new regulations
- Set environmental objectives and targets to support this policy
- Monitor its usage of resources (electricity, water, gas, consumables, raw materials) and implement measures to reduce the use
- Take necessary measures to reduce emissions in water and solid (special and municipal) waste
- Motivate its staff to reduce the use of consumables in their personal environment (paper, ink, packaging materials, power etc.)
- Designate employees with environmental responsibilities
- Review this policy at least once per year
- Set and achieve annual targets by implementing an action plan
- Report the result of review and performance annually both internally and externally
- Ensure the environmental policy is implemented and maintained at all management levels
